Because of the fast paced and dynamic industry, a balanced lifestyle is important to keeping up the stamina and enthusiasm that our business demands. Many of our staff enjoy and take advantage of the discounted local gym membership CODA provides. Our offices are set in idyllic locations where employees take advantage of the peaceful walks or pick up the pace with a lunch time jog on sunny afternoons. CODA runs a Cycle to work scheme which encourages employees to reduce congestion and improve general fitness by providing hire purchase schemes where employees can make significant discounts when purchasing a bicycle and spreading the cost over monthly payments.
Corporate Responsibility
Many people are keen to understand how their employer is involved with the communities around it, the environment, and its behaviour toward a range of other stakeholders including customers, employees and staff. CODA has developed a Corporate Responsibility policy that provides a framework for interaction with these stakeholder groups.

Back to topCommunity work
CODA is leading the way in the local community with employees getting into the full spirit of charity fund raiser events such as Race for Life, St. Michaels Hospice, Cancer Research UK, Children in Need and Red Nose Day. We also support local students and continuing education programs by providing opportunities for business students to work on marketing campaigns to promote the CODA and CIMA sponsored Extreme Accounting website through its various initiatives. CODA is responsible for initiating a Cardale Park Alliance scheme which has brought local businesses together in a unified attempt to promote Corporate and Social Responsibility by looking at car sharing initiatives, recycling schemes, amalgamating share suppliers, community work and charity fund raising events.
CODA in the Community
Supporting the community plays a big part in most of our lives, whether we are supporting schools, health services, charities or local action groups. CODA has always had a good relationship with the wider community from where we draw our employees and our customers.
The Company supports its employees in many ways, including when they are on jury service, acting as a school governor or Justice of the Peace. For ex-service men or women and those who belong to the Armed Forces Volunteer Service we are always happy to discuss individual requirements, and the same applies for other types of public duty

Development Employee
The thing I like most about working at CODA is the people, we all get on well and the atmosphere at times is fantastic. You can literally go to anyone, and ask for help. They are always helpful.
Apart from the personnel, the projects are always challenging, varied and with loads of different technologies involved. In a nutshell challenging, rewarding, super working atmosphere and technically leading edge. I've been to Microsoft UK HQ, and I have achieved so much in the past five years.
Development Employee
As a working mum, I particularly value the flexible working arrangements offered by the company. I am able to start work earlier and finish earlier in order to meet my childcare requirements, which many employers are not able to provide.
I also appreciate CODA’s pension scheme. It’s looking to the future and not a lot of companies are as generous as CODA. The change to the new pension scheme was handled in a very fair way. The changes have been in some ways very positive as you've got a lot of funds available to you and you can make any switches online so that's been very good.
Development Employee
The biggest kick I get out of working at CODA is that the software I’m responsible for. It is used and liked all over the world. The company is well run and has to perform well to achieve positive results. It succeeds at this and individual employees directly influence this outcome.
UK PR Employee
Working on the commercial side of the business in a creative PR role, I get a unique perspective of the company. From working closely with senior management to arranging press events in London, the job is very varied. CODA is still of a size where managers are very hands on and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty which the customers clearly appreciate and makes for a close-knit working environment where individual efforts are acknowledged and appreciated. As a global company, I also get to work with colleagues from all over the world. As one of the most respected software companies in its field, it is very rewarding when talking to customers and journalists about CODA's latest technology releases and success stories and listening to their feedback. In the four years I have worked here I have learned a great deal and grown in confidence so that without a detailed technical knowledge, I can make an informed and valued contribution.
IT Employee
In IT we are in a position to work with all parts of the business whether development, commercial or outside the UK. The company is constantly evolving and adopting new technologies, creating interesting challenges in our department. The best thing about CODA is that no one day is the same. Everyday we have a new challenge, problem, or achieve a new success. As a department we get to define the IT strategy of the company, adopt the latest technologies and deliver proven benefits to the Company. Its hard work, very rewarding and we work with many talented individuals.
Development Employee
I really like working for CODA because it is a great company creating world class software systems used by real people in all different industries all over the world, if you want a challenge and to be part of a company that strives to be the very best in its field then CODA is the place for you.
Professional Services Employee
In my role as a client manager the greatest reward I receive is visiting customers who genuinely love using our software. My colleagues are always available to provide additional information to me whilst out on the road which makes life a lot easier.
